ĢƵ Hosts Big Brothers Big Sisters Career Day

Atlantic City, N.J. - ĢƵ and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties hosted a College and Career Day for participating families at ĢƵ Atlantic City on Nov. 10.
Sarah Roorda, executive director of BBBS, said the program started last year at the
suggestion of Little Brother Ibn Butts and his Big Brother Wayne Richter.
“It really was a young person’s idea,” Roorda said. This year James Killen and his little brother Daylen Carson spearheaded the project, which was open to all families in the program and the community. Thirteen employers participated.
Haley Baum, Assistant Dean of Students at ĢƵUniversity Atlantic City said the event was a great way to showcase the new campus and provide students with information about college and careers.
