Dance at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ
The dance major at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ provides an individualized experience that develops highly trained, creatively active, and professionally-oriented dancers; dance students engage with faculty and guests who are all working artists.
Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Dance students choose from four major concentrations (Performance, Studio Operations, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Movement Science), and can also elect to minor in dance while pursuing a different major. Three dance performances each year allow students to perform faculty and guest artist works as well as their own choreography.
I can see so many of the techniques and skills I learned in Dance Composition classes in my choreography today. Choreography has become a major part of my career and I’m so happy to be putting those skills to use.
